New IP, please.
I want to see Kratos on PS4 at some point. But for now I'd prefer them to work on a new IP.
GOW franchise needs to rest.
GOW:A will probably struggle to reach 1m between now and E3.
I doubt they'll be in hurry to make another one. The team themselves will likely be bored and I think Accenssion was likely a result of Sony asking for another God of War.
"What awaits, only we know" I would assume this also means that this is infact not Ascension's team, but the team who have already began development on a new IP. I remember the ascension guys saying they don't know what they're doing next (i.e still in planning stages which normally involves downsizing of the core team).
I think they've done all they can do with the god of war franchise, unless you introduce a new set of circumstances for kratos and new characters.

Don't they have the choice in what projects to do (or not do in the case of the Vita)? I swore Yoshida san alluded to this with respect to SSM and ND. If true, then it was likely their choice to do GOW A and Sony gave their backing.

God of war with the setup of the north mytology,
or Kratos beating the crap out every god around who play with humain.
Give God of War a break. Make a new IP, then go the Naughty Dog route and split into 2 teams.
A GoW team and a new IP team.
God of War seriously needs a break of 3, maybe 4 Years.

Love the GOW serie but it's time to give it a rest. Really hope they are working on a new IP.

I'm not suggesting sony forced them to do it, but they suggested it whilst also facilitating a new project which is probably what the team wanted. So it was likely a compromise. When the Director or most senior guys leaves the team to work on something new (still within sony), thats normally a sign. The rest of the team don't necessarily have a say on what they work on..
I think a similar thing happened with gears judgement. But instead of spliting the team, Microsoft simply hired another developer to make it.
