I have no problem with some one being banned for what seems to me to be using the term gay in a derogatory manner , but I do have concerns with what seems to me (and it might have happened in this case ? ) to be a growing trend toward banning people without any prior warning being given to modify their behavior when taking into account the persons record .

I would recommend that warnings that are severe enough to lead to bans if the behavior occurs again, are privately discussed between the Mod and perpetrator so the people concerned then know where they stand.

My generation has used the word "gay" to refer to homosexual.  Considering the context of the quoted post, I thought it was clear that it was being used in that manner in my post and not as a derogatory insult.  It could've been clarified easily if the mod was practical like you described instead of reactionary like so many problematic ones on the internet are.

Honestly, I probably would have warned/banned you for that too (depending on your mod history).

But in general, yeah, gaf sucks.  You have to tiptoe around everything in case your precious account gets banned because screw waiting six months for another account to get approved.

One guy says he doesn't like curvy women and proceeds to say even Emma Watson is too curvy for him.

OP was clearly well within his rights to question previous guy's sexuality as a result, as curves are universally-ideal feminine features.

OP was banned for asking a rational question in the context. Whether or not there was something prior to that said I don't know. If so, that may have contributed.

You posted a picture with gay and Bill Cosby making a confused or even disgusted face. Actually he looks kinda disgusted and confused at the same time to me. Someone might take offence maybe just 1 out of 100 persons but thats enough. If it isn't obviously sarcastic or a social comment this pic will get you banned eventually everywhere except 4chan . 

I personally wouldn't even notice the pic but you can't blame anyone but yourself for taking a risk and post a pic that can be interpreted in several ways. Its that simple. And you should stop defending yourself its pointless, someone thought you crossed a line, end of story.

For the record, I'm planning on discussing it with the mod if I can.  Every person, EVERY SINGLE PERSON has a right to try to defend themselves if they felt they were dealt with wrongly, whether you feel that way or not.  I'm glad you're not a mod ...
