Forums - Gaming Discussion - I hate those huge threads

Titles keep changing, u click on it, has nothing to do with the title, and you can't find what pages the discussion begins. Most useless feature ever. And people label page number but you can customize how many response is being shown per page so it's going to be different for everyone one. When i see one of those "official thread" i stop clicking on it. it's got 200+ pages...who cares anymore, don't even know where and what discussions ppl were talking about.

yea, they tend to be pretty useless to me for getting information

OPs should reserve a bit of the first post for links to the newest topics added to the thread (like make a paragraph "newest topics" and put links to those posts in there) , as clicking through it and searching for those is just a pain in the behind

did you at least check mine? I post every major thing talked about in the first couple of post! http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=156171&page=1

There should some kinda feature for segmented thread titles.

Like say we have a "Offical X thread: New Story"

Clicking the bolded part is like clicking normally and clicking the italic part takes you directly to the related post(not single post so you can follow the discussion afterward)

I don't know if the great ioi would/can do it tho.

This would be a good idea. Just update a part of the OP or maybe a reserved post after it with links of the latest news at least.

If you really need your fix in news for something, just keep up with the thread everyday and skim through posts if you want. Otherwise don't click on them. Simple as that. If you can't be bothered, you probably are not in dire need of news.

Most major news receive their own threads as well.

Edit: I just realized I repeated exactly what you said, Lafiel. haha -_-;;

.... here we go again.
Most people in them check in a few times a day, so we see the news. Or just take three seconds and ask someone.

Putting all the news in OP is time consuming. Also most news will not be made as threads througought the day. So why not have a thread or two for it?

25,000 posts cant be wrong. People love the vita thread.

I realize that and i don't expect it to be in the OP, but I expect a link to the news post within the thread (of those news currently featured in the topic) to be in the OP, that's something you can do within 5 seconds.

How wonder many of those 25,000 posts are actually about the Vita.
