Can't believe people are even contemplating that this may be possible

That makes far more sense. Unless Sony is planning some sort of really low price blitz, 16 million is a recipe for flop buzz setting in, if there end up with a lot in stock. Depending on price, they can't move. Or Sony could end up eating a large loss.
With out some crazy subsidized plan I don't see it. It must be combine figures like they have been doing in the past few years.
They're obviously combining PS3 + PS4. I'd say it's possible, but maybe a little too ambitious.

Reading the article again "In order for Sony to sell 16 million PlayStation 4 units by the end of March 2014"... ops... fiscal year .
And I agree... impossible.
PS4 is $5.99 CONFIRMED!!!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
Slimebeast said: Impossible. 2.5 million for Nov-Dec 2013 + 1.5 million for Jan-March 2014 is more realistic. |
PS3 shipped 3.5 million with strong supply issues without Europe...
These 2.5m + 1.5m is more inline with a release withou Europe... with Europe my 7 million is high probable.

Somehow I doubt that AMD could keep up with that type of demand anyway. (let alone the system building factories)
Conegamer said: Nah, not even PS3 and PS4 combined will hit that. |
Combined change all the things... it is possible and easy.
PS3: 11-12 million
PS4: 6-7 million (3-4 million if Europe release is delayed to March)
