The Clash

- Their best song is London Calling

- Their best album is not London Calling, but it is The Clash (self-entitled album)

My second favourite would be either Van Halen or the Ramones.
No way, dude. London Calling hands down over The Clash. Clampdown, Lost in the Supermarket, Guns of Brixton, Train in Vain....every song's a highlight, it has like 20 of them, and touches on half the genres of popular music.

I respect your opinion but, man all but 1 song made the greatest hits CD (Jail Guitar Doors). This CD has everything...I'm so bored with the USA, Clash City Rockers, Complete control, London's Burning anyone? I fought  the Law, ummm... WHITE RIOT!!.

Don't get me wrong, i love the CD London Calling, but I think the Clash is the best album. My fav songs on london calling are...well...London Calling, Koka Kola, Clampdown, Brand New Cadillac, Train in Vain.

The Beatles- Let it be

The Cure - my favorite album of theirs is probably Wild Mood Swings, but their best album is probably Disintegration.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Huh. I just made a post about this in the "do you like the current generation's music" thread.
While I absolutely love U2, Neil Young, Dylan and many others, my favourite band is the Weakerthans.

here's one of their more recent songs, Civil Twilight
