SE are far too incompetent for it to be true in my opinion. Hopefully it's released as a hard copy, I don't think my Vita can take anymore huge downloads.

This sounds false. Back in 2012 they said it is a remastering/ not remake, so such a graphical leap is highly unlikely. Also we've all already seen the Vita version in action and although its likely to be less impressive then the ps3 version, if they were aiming for FFXIII fidelity we would definitely see some of that translated into the vita version.
