but that games made now for the system will not be 4K, probably mostly 1080p

1080p 60fps is all I've been asking for. With all that memory the games will be HUGE too and multitasking. Boot up time and load times will be non-existent almost I feel like.

Since 4k is nearly 12 * 720p which most games on ps3 can't run 720p @ 30fps.
My guess is the ps4 would need to be 20 * as powerful as the ps3 to output 4K @ 30 fps

Read the article. For now 4K for video only. Devs are free to use what resolution/framerate they want, however no one will sacrifice IQ/fps for 4K. We might see few small PSN titles down the road in 4K.


Capable of != Using
I'd be fine with some indie games and movies in 4k, though^^
