The PS1 or PSOne is that small redesign that Sony released later on. When I see people type PS1 instead of PSX, I think "young whipper snapper". Almost like you're looking back at the thing because you hopped on with the PS2, or god forbid the PS3. |
Why is it irrelevant....It actually exists and you can't just dismiss it The PSX we are talking about is THE actual PSX console whos name was given to it by THE Creators of Playstation.....There is no deneying fact

We got it, it's the unofficial name, and some random product released only in japan officially has the name PSX that is not the 1st playstation.
We'll still continue to use PSX thankyouverymuch.

It's not denial this time, I accepted your points. I just don't care about them. With Mazty he rejected my points and didn't include them in his "math", that's different.
Your points are there, but my value system require not a name to be official for me to use it, that's why it's called an unofficial name. That's common sense though.

We call it that because that was the abreviation used for the Original Playstation when it was out. That is what Stop-N-Save Software used (a prelude to EB Games which is now Gamestop), that is what BestBuy and ToysRUs Used and so that is what I use. Us old fucks get to call it PSX because we read about PSX in game magazines in the horrible, terrible, awful age before the internet (and that isn't sarcasm, even though I was 12 when we got the internet I really can't remember what it was like beforehand, I have retconned most of my memories to be internet inclusive.)
