With the PS1, PS2, and PS3 there were additional, technical reasons why to purchase the latest console. However, the PS4 won't really offer any major advancement over the previous iteration except for graphic fidelity and overall CPU power. But tech wise, no new optical media as with the PS1, PS2, or PS3.

So what reason is there to buy the PS4?

Not true, Sony has already stated raw spec power wont be the main reason to buy a ps4... but maybe I don;t know new games?

well if you like PS exclusive games like LBP or GOW is one reason. Maybe sony has some tricks up their sleeve. Nintendo has the 2nd screen. Microsoft has the illumanti light thing. Not sure what sony has but it could be pretty cool depending.

Not really sure, but they will find somthing more to offer consumers other then gaming. Just like the ps3 with the blue ray player.

The DualShock design is more than 15 years old, which qualifies it as "retro".

If the PS4 is bundled with a DualShock 4, it is guaranteed to sell on nostalgia alone.
