Botw is one my favorite games of all time tied with Witcher 3 as my favorite game this gen. I'm not looking for things to complain about but I have been trying to get said amiibos to get the content since release and I either couldn't find any available through various methods whether it's checking online retailers or asking my family in the mainland US to go and see if they can find any at various retailers. The few I did see available were being sold way above the MSRP. The amiibo situation has not improved at all, so I stand by my stance Nintendo is being anti-consumer not offering different ways to obtain the content on the amiibos in this game

Well my son is nearly finished, he's hunting down shrines now, for whatever reason. Some adiitional things I've noticed:

Blight Ganons are hilariously easy - though, he fought them after he got Master Sword. Then again, my younger son beat Naboris yesterday with 5 hearts, so there's that.
They really need to fix AI - standing behind the hill or obstacle, out of line of sight and throwing bombs on enemies while they're puzzled what's hitting them is just terrible AI (even he, that really likes the game, commented on how stupid they are).
Also, Link being able to outrun almost every enemy, given they won't hunt you very far, is quite silly IMO.

I think this is a case of "your mileage may vary", I found Thunderblight Ganon a real pain in the arse and the rest decently challenging, but then I fought them long before I got the Master Sword, as I expect most players will.

And honestly being unable to outrun most baddies just sounds like it'd be frustrating.

Oh yeah, it was most definitely more challenging for my younger one, he got into his head to go to Gerudo first, against my advice (with all of his 5 hearts)...he went through something like 3 shields and some 3-4 weapons, maybe died 2-3 times and that was that. Well, admittedly, they both played Souls, but still...

As for outrunning - it might be frustrating, but it makes you more vigilant and forces you to pick your battles more carefully - honestly, being able to outrun something like Lizalfos is quite silly in my book.

But it’s a happy memory. I was so happy, the game was so utterly brilliant I was blown off the face of the Earth by it.

I guess I just liked the option of being able to turn tail when I was out of my depth. There are still some enemies that you can't outpace, like Lynels, Guardians, and Bokoblin cavalry.

Yeah, those can't be outrun...on foot at least.

I guess I'm leaning more to realistic approach when it comes to running speed...not only that it makes enemies able to catch up with you more easily (which some of them in BotW should definitely be able to, like Lizalfos and wolfs, latter being currently too passive on top of it IMO), but also sets slower pace when exploring. Admittedly, BotW is fairly sparse in its world design, line of sight is mostly quite good, so you can't really miss much if you're paying even basic attention.

Well, fun being subject dependent, I guess I like my fantasy reptiles (and wolfs) to be aggressive, fast and persistent. ;)
