Yeah, those can't be outrun...on foot at least.

I guess I'm leaning more to realistic approach when it comes to running speed...not only that it makes enemies able to catch up with you more easily (which some of them in BotW should definitely be able to, like Lizalfos and wolfs, latter being currently too passive on top of it IMO), but also sets slower pace when exploring. Admittedly, BotW is fairly sparse in its world design, line of sight is mostly quite good, so you can't really miss much if you're paying even basic attention.

Fair enough, once again I guess we just have different priorities, for me a game being accessible and fun is more important than realism.
