The Guinness World Records 2013 Gamer's Edition features a full countdown of the top 50 video game villains, with many expected baddies and a few surprises.

The Joker comes in at number three from his appearance in Batman: Arkham Asylum, followed by The Legend of Zelda's Ganon, Pokemon's Gary Oak and Final Fantasy VII's Sephiroth.

Further down the list, the Minecraft creeper ranks at number ten and the Police in Grand Theft Auto are number 24, while Sonic's nemesis Dr. Robotnik rounds out the list at number 43.

The names of certain villains are most likely major spoilers if you haven't played some of these games. These character's are not revealed as villain much later in those games or there is a plot twist making them such. I've put some of the game names under spoilers to help in this regard to best of my knowledge.

Also Kessler should be a bit lower on the list. would def put him somewhere in the 20s.

Putting the Flood and even Tabuu above Dr Robotnik is utterly ridiculous.



As is putting Ganon below #1.
