More like "64% of Famitsu readers plan to buy PS Vita this year".

It is 64% of Famitsu readers, who plan to buy a new device and therfore participated in a poll.

Tile says Japanese players...........you even used that in your math >_>

First post was making fun of this poll. 2nd post is a more reasonable definition of the sample that was used.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Me too.

This is so funny the way people try to explain these results, when they say nothing for the " famitsu most wanted " by the same magazine and the same readers.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

A vague "planning" is by no means an eventual purchase, for any product. They are basically waiting for a killer app.....but what if it doesn't come this year?

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

yeah, they "want" to buy one, but they don't do. it's like i want to drive a lamborghini but i don't have a license, so that won't happen.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Wanting and planning to do something aren't the same thing. If you plan to do something, it usually means that you're working toward that goal one way or an other. If you want something, it doesn't mean it gets out of the dream realm. I want to win the lottery.  But that's not something I can plan to do.

yeah, let's say: i plan on buying a lamborghini IF i win the lottery. because i won't need to drive it myself, then.

what i say is, maybe they plan to do so, but under a premise. games, picecut, whatsoever.

To expand upon my earlier comment ...

With the over-representation of male gamers that might double the number of gamers who plan to buy a PS-Vita, if they over-represent younger gamers (a likely situation) that might double the number of gamers who plan to buy a PS-Vita, and if they over-represent hard-core gamers (once again, quite likely) that might also double the number of gamers who plan to buy a PS-Vita; and, as a worst case scenario, this might translate to 8% of all gamers plan on buying a PS-Vita this year.

To make matters worse, not all planned purchases are as likely to happen. A gamer who plans on buying a 3DS after they recieve their tax refund is a lot different than a gamer who plans on buying a PS-Vita when Sony drops the price to $200, bundles a memory card and a game, and Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy are announced for the PS-Vita.

You are really just manipulating this whole thing into something entirely different.

What will they play on it if all the RPG's on it didn't sell very well. That means nobody wants it, that means they are liers.
