A good game being bashed by "Fans" because producers decided to change the character's hairstyle.

I can confirm there is something really wrong with modern "gamers". People are getting stupid.

That's never what it was about. From the beginning it's always been about the new character design. It's absurd to give any other excuse -gameplay wise- when the game only came out today.

Honestly I've never been so disgusted with fans my whole life as a gamer. This game trashing because of white hair turning black is fucking ridiculous.

It's always been about the hair. You wouldn't be using gifs of a completely different game if you had a good argument to explain the backlash isn't anything but the hair.

DmC is the first game of the IP I'm actually interested in simply because Enslaved was awesome.

Since the game isn't called Devil May Cry 5, I don't see the problem. I don't remember people pissing and moaning when Capcom took Megaman in different directions.

As someone who bought and liked the first two DMC games a lot, I'm also thinking of buying this to halfway spite the whiners.

Also, anyone saying this was never about the how this version of Dante looks is completely wrong. The whining started up way, way before anyone ever played or even got to see the gameplay. As soon as the art hit the internet, the howling turned into a firestorm.
