To me, the old games were clearly made with style over substance when it came to presentation. It was almost satirical and the devs managed walk that thin line without coming off as trying to be serious (DMC2 is the exception of course - urgh!). With this new game, it seems to be taking itself seriously when it shouldn't at all and thus ends up feeling stupid. Mind you, that's my feeling from playing the demo only, but my liking this franchise has declined a lot after the first game.

I'll take a pass and simply let people enjoy the game if they so choose. It won't bother me much at all, but I think Ninja Theory needs a new approach to game making. And better technical competencies as framerate stuttering is a (bad) trademark in their games.

Enslaved was only mildly entertaining and I bought it new for 10 pounds. With Heavenly Sword I tried the demo and wasn't interested either.

Enjoying it so far. Its my first DMC game. Not perfect, the platforming, grappling sections can annoy. But the combat is good and I'm enjoying the story so far. 8/10 so far.

This reboot was needed though and i'm now hoping that the Tomb Raider series is a success now.

I didn't like the broken fly mechanic though. You had to press forward + L2 and X to do a quick burst forward(i think). THAT SH!T WAS BROKEN and i hope they fixed it in the final retail release. I died like 40 times trying to do that stupid sh!t when i was in the church. It just wouldn't work..

Never liked DMC, to be honest. Saw a friend play the demo on xbox on sunday, looked like the same old thing to me. Then again, I don't like 3rd person action games of this kind at all.

As for posting lots of reviews to prove that a game doesn't suck; well, not everyone is gonna love it just because it gets good press. And with the plusses being "Ooooh, shiny visuals!", "Cool style!" and "Sick combos!" this is most assuredly not a game for me.
It appears fine for what it is but for my part, 3rd person button mashers still suck no matter which form and appearance they take.

Didn't other DMC game had a lot of back tracking too ? Anyway can't wait to get my hand on this game :D . Still i think the best DMC would be DMC 3 :)

So you saying that game like God Of War 3,Darksiders 2 & Castlevania : Lord Of Shadows suck because they look like the same old things just with minor upgrade even though they highly praised ? It your opinion anyway xD
