Forums - General Discussion - Was the Sandy Hook shooting a fake?

CNN had this up. SERIOUSLY people? SERIOUSLY? Am I supposed to drive 1 hour out to the town to investigate these conspiracy theories? I could also go down to NYC and confirm the WTC are still standing if you like.

All I can say is this...

All of this bullshit just brought back the details of how horrible of an event that was. I'm reading this thread and the talk about kindergarten aged kids getting shot at close range in a classroom just turns my stomach. I didn't follow this story when it happened because I can only take so much, I mean knowing that someone killed all of those kids was enough. It was the same with 911 for me, I couldn't watch anything on TV about it for years.  I was in the City just 3 days before it happened too, it was crazy. And yeah, you can fit me up for my tin foiled hat with that one, fucking bullshit.

I didn't watch this video but I will say that as a father of four, I could never imagine being able to do anything but be long faced and or/crying for quite some time after any of my kids died. That being said, you can't imagine that EVERYONE would react the same way. I guess my post adds nothing at all to the thread and I wish I had stayed away. Sorry for venting and I'm sad now.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

First off, in response to the original post, I never understood comments like "I am NOT into conspiracy theories." As if they are all the same. Shouldn't these theories be analyzed case by case instead of all being lumped into the same group? Some conspiracies are real, others are not. Why can't some people understand this? For instance; I believe 9/11 conspiracy, JFK conspiracy are real, while the fake moon landing, UFOs are NOT. Simple as that.. Watergate was a conspiracy that was PROVEN. The Gulf of Tonkin incident was PROVEN. Manhattan Project was PROVEN. So conspiracies do exist. They are only "theories" because they haven't been proven yet.

In response to the subject matter. I have no idea. I'll have to look more into this when time permits. From what I've skimmed though, there definitely seems to be something fishy, and honestly, nothing would surprise me anymore in light of what I've learned from the dozens of conspiracy documentaries I've seen and the research I've done.

Ha! Brilliant. I think my favourite bit is the Emilie Parker Facebook page. Before showing it he says something along the lines of "what was this father doing that day? Setting up a donation fund, that's what!" then highlights a bit saying the page is to help them with their beautiful daughter. He somehow neglects to mention that the rest of that sentence makes it very clear that it wasn't Emilie's dad but who set it up but someone else who did it on his behalf. He then highlights another "suspicious" quote saying they don't know if the poor girl is still in the school or the hospital, as though this sentence is evidence that they don't know if she's dead or alive. Again, reading the whole sentence makes it very clear that they're talking about the wherabouts of her body, they say they know for certain she was a victim.

The great thing is the creator must have read these quotes in full and is obviously deliberately misleading people and so utterly undermines everythign else he says. I only watched the bits recommended by the OP and it's all utter, utter bollocks. The only thing that isn't very easily explained is the pages created 3 days before the shooting but the surprisingly blatant lies earlier in the video make have ruined the tiny bit of creedence I might have given him. What an arsehole.

Edit: Not that I find the facebook profiles the least bit suspicious, I'm sure there's an obvious explanation for them but they're the only thing that I couldn't immediately recognise as bullshit within a couple of seconds. I was really just using them as an example for how these people discredit themselves. Another highlight of the video is how well the opening lines about how this is a factual vidoe not designed to offend or push an agenda tally with the screaming "China wants gun control in the US!" headlines at the end. Wonderful stuff.

I just don't consider it normal human behaviour to set up a FB funding page either hours before or after your son or daughter has been proclaimed dead. I never discounted the shooting ever occurring, it's just difficult to ignore the fact that some people out there are obviously just seeking to monetarily benefit from all this, which just seems abnormal. There have already been arrests for individuals pretending to know the victims just to get money.

Go back to that bit of the video, pause it and actually look at the facebook page. It's very obvious he didn't set it up.

No one is avoiding questions. I do not know what they were before they were what they are now, nor do I care. The question is irrelevant and not my concern. My concern is to debunk the stupidness in the video you posted which I have suceeded in doing so. You are asking the wrong people and if you want to know the truth then ask the right people. Waste your time in asking trivial question.

However, you are asking them because of the questions the video posed. In such a manner that you are echoing the same concerns that the video is showing. Therefore, since you are asking questions because of a video you seem to be concerned with then it is your duty to do the investigation and come back with your findings.

I'm not echoing concerns from the video. The author of the video is convinced that the shooting was a fake. I'm not. I'm merely asking questions, nothing more, nothing less. You also seem to be giving yourself more accolades than you deserve, but that's your prerogative.

Nice. Is there a way to embed CNN videos? If not, I'm just going to add this link to the OP.

I am not sure how.  They may want to just drive traffic to the website.

Anyhow, I am getting close to a loss of words at the amount of inane stupidity I am seen fostered over the Internet.  We have the greatest communications and networking technological revolution in human history wih the Internet and BAM, have to get people coming up stuff that would of been confined to mental institutions before now.  Now the most outrageous gets covered and tips virally.  But enough about Kony.

Whether you may or may not believe the video is one thing. But the immediate call to action for all of the gun ban laws, which is in no way a 'conspiracy,' is a bit alarming. I for one, being a resident of New York City, am not allowed to carry a weapon whatsoever. I do not own one, and would not be interested in carrying one if I were to own one. But laws such as these in no way protect the people from the constant murder and shootings that occur in NYC. Without being allowed to carry a weapon, there many people who actually feel more at harm, and more endangered with the inability to protect themselves.

Aside from the video, do you truly believe enabling gun ban laws is the right thing to do? Do you trust your government enough to allow them to carry weapons, leaving the people with no right to bear arms?

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Most damning evidence is no surveillance footage of the shooter(s). Not a single frame showing a guy walking around the school with a gun.

Let's see the footage:
