If it involves VGChartz in some way (the user is a part of VGChartz and you're assaulting them while making direct reference to VGChartz being the cause, if you bring stuff you do on other sites to VGChartz in order to cause a fuss, etc.) then there is a chance that you'll be moderated for it. The incident between you and Carl had you making threads to try and bad-talk Carl on other sites. Notice how those sites didn't want any of it on their forums? It was a direct reference to Carl and that is why you were moderated for it. Carl was also warned for his attack at you. As for this whole Facebook thing, I don't know what you're talking about so enlighten me if you wish so I might try to explain. The identity theft incident is something different and unique. It is beyond our jurisdiction as it is higher up the food chain in terms of punishment - it is illegal. However, more went on about that than the rest of the chartz knows and needs to know. If crissindahouse wishes to share more on what went on with that incident he can. But it is not my right to divulge the happenings as it was a private matter between two other people. Just know that the mods were watching it and keeping contact in order to act as necessary if it was required. Try not to jump to conclusions just because you don't see something visibly. Warning and banning is not all we do. As for this other user doing something crazy all over other sites, if the user in question somehow tries to bring this crazy stuff from other sites onto VGChartz (say as calling out other users on those sites that are from VGChartz, or attempting to bait users on VGChartz with their material from the other sites), they can be moderated for it as it has made its way to altering behavior on VGChartz. For a hypothetical example, say I start making threads on Gamespot about how axum is an incompetent head mod for VGChartz. That is attacking a member of VGChartz directly and it's pretty clear that the mod team should take action. Say now that I become active on Gamespot, become a big member there and even get involved at the staff level. Once I do, I start trolling one of the console companies like crazy and start posting those news articles from Gamespot on VGC to cause problems. That is also something that the mod team would take action on. Hope this clarifies some things |
This is a good post. It makes sense, and at the same time I'm not sure if people realized it but most people here aren't paying to access this websites resources. Accessing this website is a privilege, not a right you own. So I do think the OP needs to calm down.
