One thing that I'm afraid of is DLC....

dlc wont be a problem, if implemented it will be like bw2 were you get some extra trainers in a battle tower
its speculated you can customise your charecter which would be awesome.
to further customisation you should be able to equip an accessory to pokemon to see in batlle (like ff13-2)

If DLC includes more difficult matches, I would be down :>

Wasn't there already internet battling or the league where you faced every gym leader ever or something in the latest games?

All I wanted was to be able to catch a Pikachu in the wild again. And if the trailers not winding me up then I have all i needed from a Pokemon game!

But a new Safari zone would be great. Maybe a double battle gym?

Ditch stuff like the Poke studio and contests, I hated those features.
