Not going to lie, I get annoyed by all the doom threads for every console.  Let's look at this generation alone.  PS4, X360, Wii, 3DS, WiiU, PSV has all been doomed at one point and time apparently, to say the least by annoying people.  So my quetion is, do we have any predictions of when the first doom threads will roll out for the NeXbox/PS4.  My guess will be right after their official announcements.

Technically PS4 has been getting doom articles. Doom threads will probably pop up on the same day as the announcements. I don't understand doom articles/threads because it is like they want competition to leave which will be bad for the consumer.

But the real major doom will come the day both are announced. The next 2 years should be very interesting here on VGC

Well, CoD will clearly be PS3/360/PS4/720. No other choice makes sense. And there's no Halo next year. And the systems will be $400 minimum.

So why would anyone buy one next year?
