paper mario is way better than NSMB IMO (THE ones on N64 and GCN), anyone who played both games (paper mario) can tell you their one of the best rpgs of nintendo, heck even all rpgs! Your just thinking about $$$. Yes NSMB sells but Paper Mario is a great franchise especially its 1st two big hits!

ok??? Wii U is selling at a lost but is made up and made to a profit with one game sold on each? How about Vita? Is it dominating, No i dont think so not even close to 3DS!

With Wii Music, why was the game made at all? Was there any expected market demand for such a thing? 

With Nintendo Land, it's Japanese as hell and the exact opposite of the clean and simple Wii Sports. And again no one was asking for it.

So I conclude they made those three games because they wanted to, not because the market did. And that would be fine if they were also making games the market demonstrably does want (do not confuse that with 'the Nintendo core wants')

Just because nobody "wants it" doesn't mean it won't sell. I'm pretty sure before the Wii/Wii Sports was made no one was asking for another sports game.

Why do you say Pikmin is more popular today than it was? That is really unlikely, since we haven't seen a new game in quite a while.

Nope, Sony could not make Uncharted (http://www.vgchartz.com/platform/3/playstation-3/). No game of the franchise managed 10Mil sales

EDIT: Neither did GT or GoW. All games over 10Mil on the PS3 are 3rd party

Well it may not do as bad as some may think it will definitely not dominate, the WiiU is always going to attract the casual gamers more so than the ps4/720 will.

im not saying it'll sell like AC, no where near that but with SSBB having olimar in it, sure it is! Look at SSBM! How many can say they knew fire emblem b4 playing that game? A very Few! Same could be said for other characters, EX i knew star fox already as a kid playing on both SNES and N64 while some1 new never heard of him and me I didn't know about Metroid, Now I do! Because of SSB, then came Metrod Prime? See my answer? Metroid Prime is the best selling metroid game? Why cant Pikmin 3 be?

Well, as 'poor' as the Wii U is doing right now, it's still doing better than the 360 and PS3 in there respective launch months. And that's with poor marketing, a clear lack of 3rd party support and the current financial situation.

It's all about momentum though. Nintendo needs to better inform people that the Wii U isn't a Wii-add-on and Nintendo needs to convince 3rd parties to port/develop games. And it needs to release Mario Kart for it.

Nope. Still posted a loss in the game division last quarter - http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/12q2_sonypre.pdf

Nintendo recoups its money with 1 game sold. And now that the 3DS is no longer selling at a loss, Nintendo will not be in the negatives for a while in my opinion.
