hold on to that copy.

I would love to get a copy of it right now, but I have had a lot of financial obligations lately LOL. $50 is steep, normally I wait until a price drop, but this would be an exception....

Is Gamestop exclusivity a temporary thing, and if so, for how long?

It's permanent (at least, they're the only who've ever and will ever receive shipments, I believe).

And even at Gamestop, the game is becoming harder and harder to find. :/

Hmm

This happens with most RPGs. Most SNES and PSX RPGs are double the price or higher of current games.

Got my copy day one!!! Very amazed now cuz i thought this game drop maybe to $40 but its double what i paid for! Crazyy

But it doesn't happen until a few years after its released. Xenoblade haven't been out for a year yet in States.

It depends, rarer games with limited releases trend up far more quickly. Some big examples of this are Earthbound and Phoenix Wright. Earthbound was expensive in most territories even during the time of its release largely due to it only being released in the US in English. Phoenix Wright nearly tripled in price just a few months after release because Capcom grossly underestimated its potential, and had a limited print of the game. Games like black label FF7 took a little while longer due to wider release.

That's due to the situation, it's a rare game that is not only rated as the best JRPG but one of the best of this gen ciritically, people already knew this was going happen before hand which has sped things up. This game is in the same boat as Panzer Dragoon Saga well recieved but hard to come by, like someone mentioned the aren't 20m copies of it around the world the probably aren even 2m copies.

I still have mine wrapped in plastic with the Artbook...

You haven't played it yet? What's wrong with you?

Massive backlog and time constrants from College, same reason I haven't been able to play Persona 4 yet, or Last Story or half of my PSP JRPGS.

Same here. Massive backlog will do that. My copy is still in shrink wrap.

Oh sucks, it's not available online...

How am I going to be able to play it?
