Well we pay sometimes more than double for dairy products in Canada because of no subsidies, and we've managed, so I think you guys will do just fine.

Er. Do you have some kind of information you can share? Any details at all? As far as I know, some farm subsidies are awful and went on way, way too long. Keep in mind that I live in a rural, farming county in a farming state. I know people who made tons of money to NOT plant certain crops while still making money planting others. Look at the corn situation, where corn syrup was literally as cheap as water.
You're really going to need to give us more details if you want people to form any kind of opinion.

Communism doesn't have a concept of a subsidy. Farmers would be state employed and their produce taken off them in return for goods that allow them to live. |
yes, I was attempting to be funny but obviously I failed.
I've been paying $6.99 a gallon for milk for quite a while now. I don't give a shit if it goes up one cent.
/ lol

Well, it's not real communism, but it's what they call communist in the US right now, along the "Big Gov" line.

This is why we pay what we do for milk in Canada:

The Canadian Dairy commision, a crown corporation which controls both production quotas and the price paid for the production. As pink a pinko communist organisation as exists in Canada.
Dear Lord I hope so. Nearly all of the subsidies that are in place are no longer needed. The biggest one that needs to go is corn. Unhealthy foods and drinks have benefited much because of it.

Yes, I was attempting to be silly as mentioned above. When I use the term "pinko communist", I am attempting to be funny.
no thats actually a good thing, though we should ween our selfs off these subsidies. they do nothing more than distort the market. we need to start ending all subsidies. this is a good thing, the market will determine what the price will be on these goods. real supply and demand. not a government created market
