Forums - Gaming Discussion - Have People Forgotten About Next Year's Truly Biggest War In Gaming?

No just you.

Well i think Microsoft will advertisize the hell out of Gears so i think we shouldnt be worried about there preorders.

This is my Prediction; Gears of War will have higher day and week of release sales, but God of War will have better life time sales.

EDIT: Nevermind, Gears will take both.

God of war should rate and sell better, i think critics will pan the new gears of war for being more of the same, while god of war atleast adds multiplayer.

Won't get either though.

Do you guys think pre-orders would have been higher if the games were renamed God of War IV and Gears of War 4 instead? Would you be more excited for them if it had been so?

I would be more excited for gears if it was made by the same people that made the other games.  GoW is at least being made by Santa monica

GOW > GOW

Both look terrible so I don't care about either one. The Last of Us, GTA V, and Beyond etc.... all look awesome.

God of War Ascension isn't doing too bad in pre orders but Gears of War Judgment is doing really bad. There is still time for both of them to gain some momentum but it looks like Gears is taking a big hit with this shoot off.

It was only recently that retailers have began taking pre-orders Gears of War: Judgment.

What do you mean by recently? I've been able to preorder Judgmrent for the last couple of months now.

As for the topic, while I'm excited for both GOW and GeoW (yes, they should be abbreviated differently), the new IPs (3EYOND, The Last Of Us, Outlast) are what lead my anticipation.

We don't have much info on Outlast yet, except for maybe who its being developed by. As for GOW: Ascension, it seems to be the next big leap in the series, still not excited much for it?

I don't think so. They're both not parts of the main series and what can they really do now that will shock everyone? Games with the 'newness factor' always have more potential to impress imo.

Pretty much agree with this.
