a part from a few minor things I hated like baby tones whenever you find something new (God dammit Nintendo!) and not being able to skip/speed up text like previous games and too much hand holding, the game is amazing!

I don't like long cut scenes either so I hope that and the other thing I mentioned get fixed in the next Zelda!

You skip the cut scenes in the second playthrough, but I agree that you should be able to skip them at every moment, just like TP.

yeah never got to play heroes mode so never found that out I did however start a new file on my WiiU but I still need to move over the save file to it

People whining about Fi have issues........

Problems with SS:

no Zelda type day/night cycle.

You can only save to 1 slot NOW (the one you started the game with)  instead of  chose either of the 3 the game offers you.....

Why does gear have to be repaired? (makes the game feel like work.... come up with a real use for rupees like buying houses and furniture or whatever instead of this crap its almost as useless as this stupid red twilight princess rupee eating armor....)

I was a bit disappointed to find out that you cannot land on skyloft without a loading screen.... its not even a big place and yet you have to load....

MAIN PROBLEM:
A few disconnected "Levels" instead of 1 world with only 1 town (skyloft) not enough variation in world design (fewer different dungeon types than earlier installments)  (the same shit happened to  Metroid Prime 3 and   Mario Galaxy they simplify the gameplay for idiots...... T.T )

The game felt like work (skyloft -> forest (which works like a dungeon now) -> real dungeon etc.)

There is to much work with not enough exploration.

Thank god there were the story cutscenes without them the game would have felt even more like work.

STUFF I LIKED:
Flying,
cool "motion enemies" (ones you have to attack form a specific angle etc.)
story/presentation
Lanayru Desert/Dungeon

I really loved that part of the game! I hope something similar happens in the next console game!

weird it felt like work for you though.

and yeah i was also disappointed that one couldn't land with the bird/fall without a loading!

People complain about EVERYTHING these days, i however loved this game from beginning to end. It's my favorite Zelda game :D

It's actually my favorite zelda beating WW and OOT in 2nd and 3rd place.

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

I loved it, and I thought the last boss fight was awesome!

What I want from the next Zelda is that it takes the huge world from Xenoblade and fills it with Hylian characters places etc. I want a huge world like the one from Xenoblade.

Xenoblade was my first XENO series game ever. And it is already one of my favourite games of all time It didnt have the best graphics or art design but it was sufficient and with all the other aspects of the game being superb it somehow threatens Zelda as my favorite Nintendo franchise.

TP was indeed similar to Ocarina of Time, and judging by it's sales; that worked. Ignoring FSA, SS however is the most different from OoT (console) Zelda there is. Even Wind Waker is much more similar to Ocarina of Time than Skyward Sword. SS's structure, story and gameplay is totally different.

That line specifically comes from all my friends who didn't care for SS- we are all largely pretty big Zelda fans. I liked, not loved, SS, for the same reason as they did. When I played WW, it felt like a totally new experience. But basically everyone I know, including myself, feel like SS was just too similar and played it safe.

Sure, the story was different for once, but the game's set up of Link going into dungeons collecting stuff and moving on to the next one was basically copy and paste. The size of the world was similar. Just... too similar.

It's a solid, solid game, but there really isn't a whole lot of special uniqueness to it.
