I'm interested in seeing how this ends up. I have a Wii U and a 3DS, plus an oldish PC. I'm not sure if I want to follow that format of review though.

It doesn't bother me if you follow that format. What kind of format do you use?

I try to stick to a 21 point scale, from 0 to 10 with 0.5 intervals, without necessarily dividing the score into categories. I just don't think that the same Story/Graphics/Gameplay formula whould be universally applied to every game, since some game require one category more than another.

As for bias, I'll admit that I have some of it. I have a weakness for certain games (Pokemon, Kirby, Kingdom Hearts, etc.) and an inclination against others (Sonic and most Shooters). I try to be fair though.

Maybe I should post a sample review so you can see what my style is like?

Yeah go ahead and send me a review.  Send me a private message or something.  And you dont have to use those categories I listed.  Anyways write reviews how it makes you comftorable.

I honestly can't wrap my mind around the "." system. Is a 9.3 really that different from a 9.4?

This seems intressting, however I do have bias, since I play most of my games on the Nintendo handheld systems.
Currently I only own Nintendo systems and a PC that can handle most games from 2009 or lower.
And I agree with what Salnax said, in which he wrote that some games should have one more category more than others.

Well yeah.  When you see a 88 compared to a 90 it looks much better if it was a 90.  While an 88 and 89 might no look much different an 88 and 91 will sway what people think. People can relate to numbers rather than words sometimes.

@ Jaywood
I fully agree with that. I also use the .system, since there are games that are better than another, but maybe not quite at 8 or 9.
