Why not? It can play games from all of Nintendo's other home consoles except GCN (could still be added via e-shop) and it WILL have a nice library.

I have the Wii U, I'm a big supporter of it, but it's definitely a reach to say it's the best Nintendo console already, it's like overcompensating to balance out the haters.

I mean come on, the fucking NES and SNES are obviously way more legendary, and the Wii and Wii U don't get credit just becuase they can play those games.

And if I have to pick one I say NES simply becuase of the impact it had on my life, and really on every other console that has come since.  I have a feeling that the older you are the more likely you are to chose the NES.

My Nintendo ranking goes like this NES>SNES>N64>GCN>Wii>Wii U. I honestly might have played the N64 more than the SNES due to Bond/Perfect Dark alone, but SNES just has the massive library of awesomeness.

Wii U being the lowest does NOT mean it's the worst, just that it's only been out a fucking month, I would be surprised if it doesn't at least bump up ahead of Wii and GCN eventually.

Nes is the best Nintendo console and best console of all time.
But I hope Wii U will be able to top that.
