Isn't Symphony of the Night on both platforms? Moreover, should that be counted at all, since it's available on PS1?

No it's only for XBLA if my research was correct.  I will knock off the exclusive though as you said it is a PS1 game :)

Castlevania SOTN is on PSN.

Also, are you including PS Minis?

Already fixed but thank you :)

None was ranked on metacritic from what I could see.  I will remove Castlevania and remove it though since it is a PS1 title and that makes it unfair. Thank you guys for your help.  Any more corrections just let me know

See my edit, Velocity: http://www.metacritic.com/game/psp/velocity

And OMG-Z: http://www.metacritic.com/game/psp/omg-z

And Blast Off: http://www.metacritic.com/game/psp/blast-off

They've listed Minis as PSP games on Meta, that's why you've missed em.

Shouldn't Joe Danger be a timed exclusive

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

ohhhh haha That makes sense now lol  Anywho, i removed Castlevania as I did not realize it was a PS1 game.  not a castlevania fan so yeah.

I'm grateful for both platforms, but I prefer PSN. Mostly because of all the great, sometimes-hard-to-find PS1 games that are available for a cheap price. For example, I can buy Klonoa for $6 instead of $40 on eBay.

I much prefer perfect ports of old-school games, which you find in greater quantity on Virtual Console and PSN. Often times the game is an enhanced remake on XBLA. These can be fun, but I'd rather play the game the way the original designers intended. Of course there are examples where the enhanced remake is even better than the original -- Bionic Commando -- but I'd still like the option to download the originals.

I have more PS1 classics than I do PS3 and PSN games combined.

Could PS1 classics be included in the list? They aren't rated on metacritic, so I doubt it.

No not at this time.  I can make another thread for the best PS Mini games as well though.  It may take some time but I will get one up soon.

good idea, but i see you can't plz everyone lol.

And you totally missed some of my favourite dual stick shooters!

Super Stardust HD: http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/super-stardust-hd

Shatter: http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/shatter

Shatter is on steam now so it'd only count as [Console Exclusive]

Somebody's gotta get in here and help out on the XBLA side lol.

This is more like PS Store vs XBOX LIVE Markplace, i thought we were discussing online since it's the main purpose of both

No duh, XBLA stands for X-Box Live Arcade.  Also if you include everything else included in the X-Box marketplace there is only one clear winner and that's the 360.
