Forums - Sony Discussion - Since AC:L is a success, which game should come from Ubisoft for the Vita?

From Dust
Splinter Cell
Rainbow Six
Ghost Recon
I think those could be kinda successful.

wait why the flying fuck are people saying they must not be happy when they have said they ARE happy?

The game will have legs too. And don't forget ..this is Ubi Sofia alone in this game. The budget nor the man power would be anywhere near the main line games. Ubi will definitely bring more support to vita

anywho on topic...my guess is the sequel to this game to be honest. A splinter cell might be good too. But didn't the 3ds splinter cell bomb? They might not bring it to handhelds anymore then

If they spent $10 Million on development, $10 million on marketing, and earn $10.00 per bundled game is 1 million sales when most of them are bundled really good? It may be good in comparison to the 250,000 sales at $20 per unit you would have received if it wasn't bundled, but in general it is pretty awful; and certainly wouldn't be a strong argument for spending another $10 million on development with an additional $10 million on marketing for another PS-Vita game.

In general, games for the Nintendo DS cost (about) 1/2 to 1/4 to develop than a similar game for the 3DS or PSP does, and games for the 3DS or PSP cost about 1/2 to 1/4 to develop than a similar game for the PS-Vita does; while 1 million sales for a DS game may be fantastic it is probably pretty mediocre for the 3DS or PSP, and it is pretty bad for the PS-Vita. This progressively increasing cost on higher detailed graphics is the main reason why studios were going bankrupt after million+ selling games on the HD consoles last generation, while 500,000+ sales for a Wii game typically meant there would be (many) sequels.

How do you know that it costs more to develop on Vita ? All developers agree that vita's the easiest Sony platform to develop on. http://psvitaforum.com/threads/sony-developing-games-for-the-playstation-vita-is-%E2%80%9Cas-easy-as-possible-%E2%80%9D.601/

It's not question of graphics or whatever else, it got to do generally with the copyrights of the franchise and the soundtrack,etc.. like SEGA and the hatsune miku game..

Plus they were satisfied, even if it was selling only 100k back then..

A success? Sales-wise maybe.

Or does nobody besides me think that ACL is pretty mediocre?

I'd prefer it if they just made a sequel to Liberation.

Splinter Cell I'd love me some stealth games :)

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont
