What exactly is wrong with this review? His complaints are completely fair.

I hate the "I had a good time playing XXXXXX with my friends, so this review is bullshit" type of argument. I could probably play any piece of shit ever made and manage to make it somewhat fun with friends and possibly some alcohol.

Plus it seems like it has many great songs throughout the ages. He should have compared it to Dance Central 3. While I really like it, there are a few songs in DC3 that are so bad, I can barely get through them. And I really, really don't ever want to hear them again.

It seems like the review is mostly directed at the designers of the game. As many people are going to buy it anyway.


lol to be fair just dace ha snever had controls that worked.

My gf baught the first one and was so pissed of that it didnt work she never got the rest. I tried explaining that the game is aimed at her to have fun. She was liek but I want the moves to register. I said welcome to the dark side of a gamer haha.

I agree with you comment. I still can't get over the IGN review for Zombie U. After playing the game myself it is clear the reviwer either didn't play the game or just forgot that he did and proceeded to make up some stuff - don't even get me started on the GS review -

 

Anyways, I only quoted you because your sig. list FF8 as one of you all time fav. games - kool. I am one of the few that think FF8 was much better than lots of other FF games - I'm looking at you FF7 -

Well im glad u agree with me about IGN, and im also glad im not the only one that has the love for FF8 (it can be lonely). But with that said IGN has litterally been RedFlagged as legitamate gaming website who love the bigger games such as CoD, and punish anything remotely new and that isnt mainstream.

I concur with the reviewer, but then again; the appealing of this game is not about having precise controls, awesome graphics or completing presentation. The fun is about doing stupid things around stupid people and laugh about it.

Agreed - they do seem to like the bigger names.

Yeah, I really don't undertsnad why people hate FF8 so much.

Oh and Lunar 1 is also a good choice for alltime fav. I never played much of Lunar 2 though Did you play Vay or Panzer Dragoon Saga?

Every game has a target audience and I believe that a professional reviewer needs to able to review a game by the point of view of its target audience.

A reviewer can also share his own thoughts but what really maters is if the game is good for its target audience.

i never played Vay but i played panzer dragoon way back in the day on the saturn ... like when i was 9 so i dont remember much of it but i enjoyed it otherwise i wouldnt have played it, although i think i would enjoy it  a lot more now that im an adult and thanks for reminding me i think ill get it now on my PC.

also play Lunar 2 if u can i thoroughly enjoyed that game, it was just as good as the first
