So, who died?

Around the Network

I've worked on sattelite navigation devices and I'm always amazed at how much blind trust people put in these systems.
Some highlights:

1. Dozy Driver Takes GPS Directions Onto a Railway Line
7. Austrian Limo Driver Follows GPS Down Flight of Steps
8. Truck Drivers Takes 1,600 Mile Detour Due to Sat Nav

At my work we had to add a special warning when users switch from the default calculation to the shortest route, as municipalities of smaller towns were complaining that large delivery trucks kept getting stuck on the smaller roads in historic town centers.
Signs warning drivers not to follow their GPS at major road construction is very common now. It's not realtime people....

This is because Google doesn't give you turn by turn navigation.

Tease.

No one yet but 6 were left stranded in a hot place (reached temps of about 115 F or 46 C with no water stations in a remote National Park).  One must assume that the half dozen people stranded so far were Diehard Apple fans.

Same here. My 4S is still sitting on 5.1.1.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Maybe not you, but I got it about 5 years ago. (though I think you were just trollin')

It's obviously Apple's fault, but some of the extremes are just careless.

I had a relative who is staying with me call a few weeks ago because she got lost COMING BACK from a trip to the next town over. When I asked her how she got lost when she knew the way, she said she'd just decided to let her iPhone lead her back. I mean, seriously, why? She also got lost on another occasion, with me in the car, on a route she'd traveled many times before. Her reason in that instance was that she was used to having her iPhone tell her which exit to take but she hadn't turned the GPS on because we were talking. I'm pretty sure I literally face-palmed.

looks like apple's got a worm in them!!!

awwww yeah!!!
