Forums - Music Discussion - Do you still like Eminem's music even though you are who he raps about?

Now he sings. Since he seemed to have forgotten how to rap.

what the hell are you talking about? he is still rapping, in fact he literally sang more on his other albums than he did on recovery

i am listening to eminem no matter what, since he is the only rapper who doesnt rap about money, bitches, cars and other senceless shit...

Try Immortal Technique, Lowkey or many other conscious rappers - AVAILABLE NOW! :)

Re: Eminem. Slim Shady LP = Excellent, strikingly original album, Marshall Mathers LP = Excellent album, some very original songs and some other excellent tracks where you can really hear Dr.Dre's influence - brilliant! Everything else Eminem has done - meh.

Like a lot of rap artists, as soon as they get wealthy and comfortable they lose the hunger, lose their creativity and become bland.

It makes me cringe to listen to Eminem now TBH: all the old themes "whinge whinge whinge I hate my Mom" "whine whine whine life's so hard" - very whiney, very nasal and rather boring...

eminem show was better than mmlp in my honest opinion

I only liked his first two cds mainly. After that I started losing interest in him. His newer stuff seems to be worse. I don't like most of the beats/lyrics on his new songs.  I especially don't like that Love The Way You Lie song.

How can he be rapping about me? I'm not his mother... or his wife... or any other female in his life for that matter.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

does he still rap about his mommy? lmao

What bothers me is there is still intelligent and original rap out there but it is no longer the stuff that is widely promoted by major labels.

You only have to look for it to find it though.

Don't get me wrong, if there was an Up In Smoke tour that came to the UK, I would be one of the first to buy tickets. I just feel that the very best of that particular genre was done years ago and I look elsewhere for my rap now.

Too much planning, and you'll never get anything done.

Karl Pilkington.

I stopped listening to Eminem when I wasn't a teenager anymore. Same with all other white rap, like Dre, Jay Z, and DMX.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Yes I still like him.  My name is Moby.
