Don't see why this game isn't on PSN. It's not like it wouldn't be profitable....

Don't worry, it'll probably make it's way to PSN eventually.  Microsoft has a tendancy of paying for timed exclusives which is a very smart strategy but I'm sure it will more than likely make it to PSN soon enough.

Hopefully, if that happens, PS3 version will have the same features as the Xbox one does. I don't see why they couldn't

What walsufnir said actually is true.  I didn't even think about that.  PS3 may not have the ram to do it.  It is why they cant have party chats so it would make sense since minecraft has a huge world. They had to scale it down for 360 so they would have to scale it down even more for ps3

Doubt it. If that was true wouldn't someone from Mojang have publicly stated this?
But they didn't. In fact I don't think they've said anything about a possible PSN release.

PS3 and 360 have the same amount of RAM. They just work differently. Minecraft should easily be able to run on a PS3.

why should they state if publicly? did they state something about minecraft on wiiu? on 3ds? on vita? no?

and ps3 and 360 do not have the same amount of ram and vram is not the same. it *is* possible to use the vram on ps3 as something like normal ram but only in special cases. and even if, the os-footprint of ps3-software is higher than x360-dash.

minecraft relies heavily on ram - in fact that is the real reason why they had a lot of trouble porting minecraft to 360. not because of gpu or because of cpu.

Wii U is too new to even consider it, 3DS and Vita are protables.....

I'm sure they could manage Minecraft on PS3. It's not impossible. Just like the 360 version had sacrifices, so would the PS3 version.

ok, believe what you want, that's ok. but i highly doubt that it will ever come to ps3. only time will tell us :)

Well you could read through several posts in that thread, though it's mostly leaderboard data, mixed with sales estimations from Fade LLC (ioi has his hands in there. Though I'm not sure why this is seperate, but that shouldn't be my concern) and actual sales data.

A similar thread for downloadable Vita games exists here on VGC.

EDIT: Also if you own some of the games on that list that haven't been updated in months, I'd be happy if you could load them up and tell me how many gamers are on the leaderboards

Yeah I'll have to go check them out. Still shocked that we dont officiolly track them but yeah that is a different story.

And yeah I can do that sometime

Haven't checked Fade in a long time. Looks like they even got XBLA data, though they seem to be a bit outdated. Trials Evo is definitely too low.

http://analytics.fadellc.com/xbla/

I know that the priority was Android then Steam and now probably XBLA and after that PSN.

Eventually, everything will be tracked in real-time. Its just a matter of getting there.

FYI, Minecraft is at ~4.6m through the end of November. Unless there is a huge uptick for Christmas, it may be just shy of 5 million.

wow real-time sounds pretty cool indeed. I make sure to check out your site more frequently in the next weeks.

Will there be an official collaboration with VGC in the near future as it happened already in the beginning of the "Fade Project" ? (Something like monthly or quarterly news) or is it going to be completely seperate ?

I really don't know how much ioi is involved within Fade.

Also Family Game Night is made by Hasbro and not Hasboro :P

Well, real-time as in daily, as opposed to monthly where feasible.

As to collaboration - we've already collaborated on a few smaller-scale projects. Once we get the analytics system finish, we'll see where we can go from there with VGC, if its feasible.

I believe the naming issue with Family Game Night has to be changed at the administrator level with the new analytics system, which is something still being hashed out. I do realize I made that mistake a long time ago, and fixed it on the hard copies I have, ha ha.

I'm sorry but I don't recogize you so what is your site?  And yes that would be amazing to have more data come into vgchartz so a collaboration would be amazing imo XD Specially if digital is being tracked too

I doubt it, I doubt it very much.
