Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Is your Wii U having stability issues?...how common is this?

No hard locks for me. Had a crash in Sonic but could end the game via home button.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

never had any freezes or hardlocks at all since getting my wii u

Oddly enough, it's been YouTube that's caused my Wii U to lock up when attempting to stream but somehow losing the connection in the process, but given Flash's history, I guess I should not be surprised.

EDIT: Or does anyone know if Nintendo is actually using the limited HTML5 section of YouTube?

Guys... the freezing is/was due to networking issues. Notice its always when doing something miiverse/network related.

Now, I'm curious post last night's update if anyone else has an issue. I updated and played for a couple hours on ZombiU as well as MiiVerse with no issues yet. Guess its a wait and see approach to determine if its been fixed or not.

I've had five hard locks at least and several disc read errors.

In NSMB U at one point it wouldn't let me play the Challenge Mode because a disc read error would pop up. I cleaned the disc (which was brand new), but got the same message again.

The system is just generally slow as molasses going in between menus most of the time too.

1) Anything since the update last night?

2) I think poeple never used their PS3. I seriously don't see much of a difference in going from wiiu menu to a game or miiverse or anything else that didn't exist in Ps3 menu to game or store or netflix or web, etc. Do I hope its improved over time? of course, but its no where near as bad as people claim, nor any different from my experience with the only other consoles I've owned with significant home menus (wii/ps3).

It froze on me the first time after the new update. =P

Is the Wii U slow as molasses?  Perhaps this video will tell the tale.

I did it multiple times, that day.  I even went from powered off to an online match in Black Ops (The original on 360 vs. the sequel on the Wii U) and I was shocked to find that, on that day, I actually got into an online Team Death Match before the Xbox 360 found a game!

I turned on both at the same time.  As soon as the option presented itself, I logged into the Wii U or Xbox 360.  Depending on which console I pressed the power button on first, the winner varied but always by about one or two seconds.   And this was before the update.  Sorry about the piss poor condition of the video.  All I had to use was my shitty cell phone camera.
