Mods are a lifesaver, the very first one I got was a UI rework, the entire game (Skyrim) was suddenly worth twice as much with something that simple! I expect to see some crazy community mods within the next 3-4 years for Skyrim, lending the game longevity beyond most titles after such a long time.

Improved UI and Better Sorting mods changed the way I played the game entirely. I can't play the Vanilla version anymore because it just feels like it's a clumsy mess that has no sense whatsoever, especially with the Keyboard interface.

Some of the most recent and good work that mods are putting out are city enhancing mods and climate mods. Combined with the extra effects mods, and the game looks like it almost leaps a generation.

Yeah, I use some visual mods as well. The game has fairly low system req's as is, so I load quite a few before the rig takes a bow. The default texture work in Skyrim is pretty horrible no matter the settings and I remember being somewhat disappointed by the visuals. It clearly shows just how much consoles are stalling PC development this late in the generation. The biggest improvement over Oblivion is the character models but they still have a very long way to go. Lucky for us, there are good mods for that too!

Xenius Character Enhancement has already improved them a lot . There's enough mods to improve on every area of the game, which is quite amazing as I recall that it took almost two years before a decent overall texture mod was available for Oblivion, and this was with the toolkit available since the game launched.

And yes, it's fairly low on sys reqs. My laptop can easily run almost 100 mods at Ultra and still get playable FPS. It's probably one of the saving graces of the Gamebryo engine, to be fair. As buggy as it might be, at least this recent version has some decent optimization.

MS openly warns people at E3 that they are getting timed exclusive DLC. As for Q&A testing, meh, not a 360 owners problem.

We would give Bethesda games a good home by ourselves.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Ok, it seems that I was wrong when I thought that it was only Skyrim that sucked on the PS3. Alot of ppl pointed me out that most if not all of their games were terrible.

But still, Bethesda sucked at developing for the ps3, plain and simple. I don't see how this will hurt them next gen unless they suck on ps4. Ppl have an awfull short memories. They don't care what happened in the past, all they care about is the present. We hear them complain about how they will never buy a Capcom game again because of their ondisc DLCs yet we see no major decrease in sales of RE6 (I think the terrible reviews are what contributed to the slight decrease). Most ppl who complained about ME3's ending, making petitions and other bullshit like that, all of them will buy ME4... See where I'm going?

You'll have to. Bethesda is beneath the contempt of the Nintendo community, and actively works to enrage the PS3 community.

Bethesda screwed up big time on Skyrim on PS3. But that is it. I don't recall anything else negative they did this gen.

Sure it sucks but Sony fanboys need to get over it. Skyrim = 1game. 1game that did'nt run well on PS3. 1game that ended up still working at the end and was still great even w/o DLCs.

Skyrim =/= Bethesda. There is alot other games out there. Bethesda will be fine, worst thing that could possibly happen is that the sales of Elder Scrolls 6 are hurt because of this on the PS4. But I serously doubt that even this will happen since ppl have a way to short memory anyways.

That "1 game" I logged over 120 hours on. My experience would have been much better on the 360 however, but I still  managed to make Skyrim my GOTY 2011. With that said, it's not Sony's fault for being too hard to develop for. Every other developer figues it out. Bethesda, apparently has not. It's shere laziness. Knowing their game will sell either way, and better on the 360 at that, they just don't put in much effort.

I thought Sony said that they intentionally made the ps3 hard to develop for?

I guess you could say it is Sony's fault as well.
