I have been really surprised by just how useful and constructive the various "communities" have been, plus the artwork has been quite nice!

I'm loving it, completely new experience from the wii lol only I'm having problems with my system freezing on miiverse

Yeah, there are tons of great art on it. Very surprising how people can draw that well given the tools available.

Miiverse is a nice idea. I will not use it much, though. I hope they will fix all the issues (e.g. some stuff not loading/showing properly), make the "add friend" a little more obvious (there are several ways, even an easy way like there is on LIVE and PSN, but they are all quite hidden in submenus) and finally add accomplishments or milestones or whatever. All they added is "post on Miiverse because you did this and that". That's lame. All the talking about some achievement system was just PR. There is nothing. Developers have always been able to create their own achievements, trophies, milestones, stickers or whatever and it is still that way, big news apparently. No need for any "Achievements on the Wii U" headlines on the net. Just make the statistics screens of games accessible and it's done. Can't be so freakin' hard.

I like how they watch Miiverse. Even if people think they ban too many things, it's all good. The internet is no place for "I canz do whadeva me wantz!!11" and it's their servers and service after all.

I thought I read somewhere that anything uploaded to it is sent somewhere else to make sure everything is appropriate.  I'll try and find it.

That was Nintendo being horribly unclear. The actual procedure is to post things instantly, and then let users flag offending posts (which are then reviewed by a Nintendo staffer within a half hour or so).

OH.  Thanks for clearing that up.

it is great but I probably won't be using it that much just like my Twitter account unless I need help with a game of course

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

You just click a person, and it is on the It's the big button on the upper right of their profile beside the follow button.

The great irony about achievements is that critics both criticize Nintendo of being gimmicky over actual interface methods, and then also criticize them for not adopting ACTUAL gimmicks like achievements.

I'll say one thing Nintendo were on to something with Miiverse because it's freaking addictive.

I still don't have a WIi U yet (sigh) but all of the praise for Miiverse makes me happy. Everyone had bet against Nintendo for online this generation, right? But the care into miiverse really proves that Nintendo was trying to do this right this time.

wooooo

I have spent WAY too long on the Miiverse =P
