Forums - PC Discussion - Recommend me some PC games, specs inside.

Two people recommended Starcraft 2... and I'll go the other way - Supreme Commander. I also second both Borderlands games, plus maybe Magicka, another awesome game.

Supcom is one of my favorite games ever, and imo a better game and my favorite RTS. However since it's an RTS the community matters, it's servers are down. There are Forged Alliance Forever servers, but that's a pain in the butt to someone new, and you're going to get your ass handed to you.

I've already got Civ V, probably should have mentioned that, I just don't play it too much, and I have the Total War games too, love those, especially Shogun 2 and Empire, lol. I also have Planetside 2 and it runs fine actually, about 30-40FPS on high, not ultra.

I also have Borderlands 1 + 2 on PS3, but might get 2 on PC to play with my mates and brother, since I've not even started it on PS3 yet anyway, lol. I have all of the GTA games on PC, got the entire collection from Steam for £4.99 when they put the wrong price on, lol. I might get Bioshock actually, already got Bioshock 2 on PS3, not played that yet either though, just got the big collectors edition for £10 lol. I've got all of the Assassin's Creed games on PS3, so not going to bother on PC. I've got the first Torchlight, and VERY tempted to get the second, I MAY get Dishonored, not sure PC or PS3 yet though, not bothered for the Half Life or Counter Strike games, and I'm getting the Mass Effect trilogy on PS3 (Already, got 2, but meh).

Oh, didn't see Max Payne 3, got that on PS3 too, and got both Portal games already, lol.

I probably should mention some games I've already got, but I don't mind if I get duplicate recommendations anyway, lol.

As for how much video RAM it has, it's 2GB GDDR5, although on dxdiag it says 3442MB, lolwut, I got an extra 1.4GB video RAM? o.O

1.5 GB of System RAM can be used by your GPU.

Funny you should say that :D

As for servers, you can always activate your retail copy on Steam and get Gold edition (that doesn't necessarily solve the problem of vanilla SupCom servers, but FA underwent retrofit and its Matchmaking works with Steam).

As for the other part... Well, true. SupCom has such immense possibilities that when playing with "regulars" what you described happens... But when you have friends to play it with, it's much more fun. Unless they're no challenge. It's much less fun then.

i have the same graphics card, you can unlock it to 6970

How do I go about unlocking it then? And will I need any additional cooling for it to be stable?

You dont need any additional cooling, the temprature increase is about 3-5 degrees from the stock 6950, click here for detailed instruction on how to unlock it

Wii/Mario Kart Wii Code:2793-0686-5434

Witcher 2, Mass Effect trilogy, Diablo III, Far Cry 3, Crysis 1 & 2, Dragon Age Origins, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Dishonored and Counterstrike (the new one).

Great! Now that I have my PC back...
I suppose I could recommend Firefall, it's been quite interesting, though you might need to wait for Open Beta, in case it hasn't started yet.
There's a Free Weekend of Endless Space ending on Steam. I haven't had a chance to try it earlier (sadly), but for turn-based Civ-like empire management game it's been quite interesting.
