Splash Damage working on Dirty Bomb with help from publishing partner Warchest; teaser trailer released; release date TBA.

The next project from Brink and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars developer Splash Damage has been revealed. This morning, the company announced PC shooter Dirty Bomb. The game's teaser trailer suggests the game will be set in a modern day London, England and feature lots of shooting.

The Dirty Bomb website encourages gamers to reserve a player name by registering at publishing partnerWarchest's website. Additionally, Dirty Bomb's online services are powered byFireTeam, a company that specializes in matchmaking, transmedia connectivity, and more.

No release date or pricing information was announced for Dirty Bomb.

Dirty Bomb is the first game from London-based Splash Damage since 2011's Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC game Brink, which sold 2.5 million copies. For more on that game, check out GameSpot's review.

Damn, did Bethesda drop these guys? I thought they had a 10 year partnership.

anyone else tired of more shooters?.. =( .. we need more rpgs..

.. I wonder would this game really be a real "PC" Shooter .. or a 360/PS3 ported to the PC type of crap like crysis 2..

Nice try Splash Damage, not falling for it for a third time.

As far as I know Bethesda kinda inhereted Brink as part of buying id, as Splash Damage had a strong relationship with id and were using id tech 4 for the game (they picked up Prey 2 which was in a similar position at the same time). After Brink bombed Splash damage moved into free 2 play games and licensed Unreal Engine.

can't say I liked either of these games... brink had some cool ideas though, if it wasn't implemented so poorly it would have been a great game.

Yeah, the whole situation was kind of forced. Swithing specs and engines midway in a development cycle can prove expensive indeed nowadays, especially for a fairly niche title.
