Ledreppe said: I'm hate comparisons of the Wii U against Xbox 360 and PS3, the Wii U is a newer system so it's obviously going to be better even if it isn't current cutting edge tech. People make these comparisons because they can't compare the Wii U with the Xbox3 and PS4, as they haven't got any screenshots or specs to compare with. Just stop these Wii U and xbox 360/PS3 comparisons, people make them because they like to be hard on the Wii U. |
people did the same with xbox and ps 2 to 360. it's pretty standard with a new gen. ign as example:
"As Neversoft has said since the beginning, Gun is exactly the same on all systems -- the content is the same, while the graphics are individually adjusted to each system. The improvements are slight but noticeable. Unlike a few other multiplatform games on Xbox 360 this fall, Gun was up-scaled to the system, rather than created on Xbox 360 and downscaled to the other systems. Thus, comparing Gun side-by-side with the Xbox, you'll see slightly higher resolutions on Xbox 360, and better and more geometry. What this means is simply that the high polygon count characters, buildings, creatures, and landscapes all retain a smoother, more realistic look. The surfaces are more rounded, smoother, and organic.
Let's take Ned Colton's face for instance. That's one hell of a mug, and it looks a little like Kris Kristofferson, with a giant mane of hair and a wild overgrown beard. His face is more defined, chiseled, and provides more surface area, creating more realism. You'll also see bump and normal mapping, which works for and against Gun. On the plus side, there is greater texture work on the faces. You'll see vertices, bumps, indents, even craters. On the negative side, somewhat like Halo 2, the Normal Mapping sometimes looks out of place, slightly shifted to one side. This unfortunate side effect ruins the whole believability factor, and makes the characters look more like polygonal puppets than believable characters. The Xbox 360 version also delivers a smoother framerate and longer draw distances."
ok i have no pic from ign now but still, if they reviewd the 360 version of a game also available for ps2/360 they talked about the differences.
