Forums - Gaming Discussion - Vita Black Friday Mega Deal Confirmed by Amazon - Will you jump on it?

sethnintendo said:

They should have just included a 16 GB card and priced it at 199.99 considering they are including a download copy of Playstation All Stars which will probably take up most of that 4 GB card.

People keep saying price is a barrier, so Amazon is lowering the price as low as they can. People care about price more than they do value.

No. The Vita seems as it is dying a slow death. Almost reminds me of the PSP-GO.

I don't have much hope for the Vita. No one I know has one and none of my kids/nieces or nephews are even asking for a Vita. All the kids want some sort of tablet. I strongly believe that the future of handheld gaming will reside with tablets. Trust me, I wish it was different, but I think that is the current reality.

What do its sales have to do with anything?

Do you only buy popular stuff or what?

3 pages and NO ONE has said they will jump on this. Amazing.

They would lose even more money as 16GB cards cost $40-50.

It isn't even remotely in that vicinity in terms of cost. They wouldn't be losing that much more at all.

Maybe BenV could answer this, but I am not even sure retail stores pay that much for things like Mem cards and accessories. It's usually the consoles themselves that generate the least amount of profit over cost.

Reminds me of the days when I would buy USB cables from Bestbuy with my fiance's employee discount for $2 when the retail price was $30+. I would then go to a different Bestbuy and return them for store credit, which is what you get without a reciept. I couldn't use one since the cost showed $2. That's how I got a $600 PS3 for like $30.

Can't do that anymore since she now is the nursing supervisor in a private practice for Pediactrics. Not that i'm complaining.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

BTW that is a clever way to make you buy a 16/32 GB memory card.

If you want to download all the games at the same time, then yeah you would  need a bigger memory card.

But you can download 1 at a time and you can be switching it between your PC and Vita if you don't have one.

Too busy hitting F5 until the deal goes live.

Well you're right, they're actually $60 and not $40. My bad.

If I didn't already own a Vita I'd get this in a flash! Best Black Friday deal I've seen yet!

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Jesus I own a Vita, but I may have to buy that.

I had a Vita (I gave it to my brother who studies in another city) and I use to do that but to be honest it was a pain also having all your games in one 32gb card must be insane specially with the new plus. I think this may be the best bundle ever (can't think of any better), man I'm so tempted to buy it.
