Forums - Nintendo Discussion - IGN gives Mass Effect 3: Special Edition a 9.5 out of 10! Says it is just as good, if not a little better than other versions. Game pad in for the win again!

on the one hand it reminds me of the PS2 version of ME2 which also got high scores and some of the same arguments used here were used against that, but on the other hand, at least the PS3 ME2 had DLC for it, Wii U ME3 isnt even getting that, so i dont see how it could score that high. I seriously doubt whatever little function they added to the Wiipad cant make up for missing so much content

It's absolutely useless playing the 3rd game without the others, few of the events will have any meaning or impact without experiencing the other two games first.

I cannot see this game being a hit. Who wants to start at the end?

Why do people keep assuming its starting at the end so its a failure? Its a failure and should be a failure because EA is a complete joke, not all the DLC, release a competing Trilogy of gamings at the same price, sabotage their own products such as ME3 and Madden 2013.

EA is the problem, and is the reason the game should fail, Is there some assumption that people who play on a Nintendo console have no concept of what the game is, or is about, and they have been in some shell never knowing what was outside? The other games would be nice on the same console, but it is simply and utterly EA's fault if this game fails, and I could never buy or believe lacking 2 other older games would be the reason for it.

ME 3 is a great game and it seems to be a great port, but still, who wants this on WiiU anyway...

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

I agree wholeheartedly with this.. I'm so disappointed by what EA did to ME3.... Is it not possible to release the trilogy on Wii U??

That's a completed inflated score, considering the full situation of the title (late release, zero DLC support, etc.)

Reviewers make no sense to me... and I will gladly skip this title. Sorry!

I disagree. Most of the DLC additions are already included with the game that wouldn't have been there with the original. Plus it has a superior interface to the original.

I do, for the Wii U interface. I didn't like the interface on the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2, but it looks like the Wii U controller is perfect for Mass Effect 3. Since I don't care about Mass Effect 1, and I haven't played 3 yet, I prefer to get the best version of 3. This will be my first Wii U game besides Nintendoland.

Still won't save the most anticlimatic ending of all time..

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I see. Well, you're a special case. Let's say 9 out 10 people who want to play ME3 already played it (It's a VERY front-loaded series). Let's carry on and say that 2 out 3 of them have already played the sequels and wanna keep their progress and are attached to the original console. There is only 1/10*1/3 = 1/30 left of the potential ME3 who could be interested in this, and I don't know which porcentage of them will buy a Wii U so...I don't really see much sales here.

pfft all of sudden we should trust ign scores? since its giving a wiiU third party game a highscore?..

Avoid all things EA on the wiiU .. seriously guys.. anyone who wants to play this should just get the trilogy on other platforms for a cheaper price... no one should waste their money on this.
