Forums - Microsoft - 6 Reasons Why Xbox Live is Failing 10 Years Later

Xbox live is good at some things, while PSN is better at others. Simple. Neither will fail.

its failing because it is not giving you enough. Its taking you as a customer for granted. Its failing you as a consumer, but by god it wins gold medals to share holders. But please explain to me intelligently why the latter is more important than the former. why?

The worst part is that people are willing to accept it as good service and overlook the fact that it is NOT worth the price. Simply not. You have purchasing power, yet you don't use it, and in the process allow this huge company to take your money without giving you much in return.

have some self respect and demand that your money is well spend. I love the xbox IPs, but bashing microsoft's greed goes not make me any less of a fan than you. If you draw a line and demand that microsoft gives you more, trust me you will benefit.

But if you keep saying that it is a good service because its making THEM a shit load of money, then we are not in the same page. Stop saying "i wish microsoft would do something like PS+", but instead teach them a lesson. Write to them and unsubscribe.

Thats my two cents, if i am able help at least one person see reason, I call it a success :P

Ps+ compared to live it a bad example, off course Ps+ is going to beat it hands down. The amount of content you get for your money is mind blowing I've been with ps+ for 5 months and have gotten a total of 46 games and my sub has cost me less than the price of one of those games retail. I can't even keep up with the new games that are coming out anymore I just download them then cancel the download straight away so I can get it for later( before they add a new list of goodies) I don't know how Sony makes money on ps+ but I hope the service never stops.

As a guy with both, I think the only one that holds a candle is the price thing. Even that is subjective. I pay for and use XBL Gold and I don't bother with PSN Plus.

Maybe once XBL actually starts failing I will get more for my money. In the meantime, about this article....HAHA!

Failing is when you have to give users free games so they join your services.

When you dont give nothing and people still come thats not failing, thats knowing you have a beast of a service and people will join no matter what.

Whats why >40m people are on Live and probably not even 1m are on Ps Plus.

Ummm.. what did you expect Playstation University to say? Xbox Live is awesome?

I haven't had a hiccup since I first subscribed. Heck, i'm not complaining.

And how is 40 million subscribers and growing "failing".

Typical.

Typical?  He is right in what he said.  XBL is huge and making a ton of money that they wouldnt have without it.  I'm not even going to get into the whole comparison thing but you can't be so blind.

That was rubbish.

If you don't play many games, PS+ is obviously better, though at the same time you'd probably don't play them anyways.
For me it's totally not worth it since I already own 90 to 95% of all interesting PS+ games every month.

PSN+ is worth it if you prefer to rent rather own games.
