Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Anyone lovin ZombiU?

Yeah, I'm kind of confused too. Reviews are all over the place. Kind of makes me want to play it even more, just to find out for myself who's right and who's wrong.

So it has been getting some bad reviews so I canceled it. It would be nice for a few written reviews on vgchartz of zombiU sometime

Honestly it has been getting some of the most varied reviews I have ever seen for a single game. It seems like it really depends on whether or not you buy into the genre. But if you are looking for CoD: Zombies, this isn't the game.

No I want true survival horror, but it seems many people has hated the game and I'm not understaning why yet

I think the people who don't like the game don't like it because of how survival horrory it is.  Most of the complaints are how hard it is to take down Zombies with just your basic weapon, and they're right about that.  Using your cricket bat will take 5 or 6 solid swings before you take an enemy down.  But that's kind of the point.  Supplies are scarce, zombies are plentiful, and it's generally never in your best interest to fight them.  This isn't Dead Rising or Left 4 Dead.  You never really WANT to engage a zombie.  Your main goal is to survive and that means keeping your distance as much as possible.  A lot of people don't seem to like that.

I died after the second mission an hour in just after I leveled up the pistol and I loved every minute of it. I have to say my only slight small gripe are some textures aren't too great but that's all. Hopefully I'll be able to play more soon if my wii u doesn't brick on me.

Why would your system brick on you?

Stop hating and start playing.

The game is actualy a lot of fun.  As for the graphics, they tend to look bland, but I think that was intentional as you are in the dard a lot.  Whenever you are in a bland looking area and lightning strikes, it lights up your room and the graphics then look much sharper.  Overall, we've been having a lot of fun with the game, but it probably isn't for everyone.

Ugh... can't wait. My copy is supposed to arrive tomorrow. :/ Game looks like so much fun.

I have it but I have yet to play it.... I've mainly just played NintendoLand so far (which I've been having fun with more than I thought on some of the games). I'll try and play it tonight/tomorrow and I will report back with my experience.

If you read the negative reviews, its because that reviewer thought it was something different from a survival horror.

Sounds good. I'm definitely going to give it a try. We need more survival horror on consoles, that's for sure.

This explains very accurately what I felt the bad reviews were about.  They don't want a survival horror game, they want a shooter with zombies (or something that's not true to what a survival horror game is).

I haven't enjoyed any WiiU game since negative reviews affect how much I enjoy the said game.
