Forums - Sony Discussion - So with Kat in PS All Stars, will you buy the game?

I wouldn't say kat is everyones favorite as probably around 80 to 90% of people don't even know who she is. And no I will still not buy it.

So that means your metascore prediction is 10 to 20% more likely to be wrong? I'll take those odds. See even if you don't know either character this is great because it tells reviewers more characters are coming and they will be free.

I need a vita so I can play Gravity Daze and UC =(

If I ever get a PS3 or Vita, this'll be the first game I buy after LBP, but Kat wouldn't have any effect on my decision.
Of course, I'll be picking up the DLC while it's free, regardless of whether or not I have the game or not. I like free things.

I know who she is.  Most people dont even know about gravity daze.  This is more of a good advertisement for Gravity Daze than the other way.  And no i stand behind the metacritic between 75-82 for Playstation allstars.  Guaranteed.

Glad to see you remembered though :P

I feel like they are using up some of the lesser known characters as free DLC. Honestly not a lot of people are aware of who these characters are except for probably the hardcore PS fans.

This way it entices more hardcore people to get the game ASAP as they are only free for a limited time, while they can save more well known characters as fully paid DLC later on when the install base has grown.

This also gets the game some good PR, because a lot of people get pissed about DLC coming out so fast after release.  By making it free they will get a big thumbs up from the gaming community while still having some very soon-after-release DLC.

Not a bad plan.

It also highlights these characters and draws attention to their games when people say, "hey, where are they from?"  It's a nice bit of marketing, to be honest.

And please tell me how that is?  Is what I'm saying wrong?  Of course the metacritic is my prediction and opinion but I do stand behind it.  I've played the beta for Sony Allstars and that is what i see it ending with.  I've been right about most of my predictions this year with metacritic and I bet you I'm right again.

Tell you what guys.  If sony allstars scores above an 82 metacritic you all can make an entire thread about how I was wrong.

I claim this right! No one else can make the thread, I've already started designing it.

lmao oh Ill be waiting for that :P

tbh even though from what i've played the game is awesome and i do indeed like like the play style more than smash

i don't see it doing that well in reviews as i'm pretty sure reviewers will nitpick the crap out of this game

people go into the game with the expectation that it plays just like smash... then they get their asses handed to them because for them it doesn't play enough like smash

i can see this being one of the bs reasons behind low scores we'll see when it comes out, another one will be from non-sony fans claiming they don't like the characters ( even though the game isn't intended for them )

etc etc etc

regardless i care very little about review scores personally... if i see something i'm interested in i try it out myself and decide whether its worth my time or not
