I don't know about you, but 2 rivalling devices with one being outsold ~45:1 is certainly not a good sign, and is certainly something that should be highlighted. I can't recall a time in the past where such a thing has happened. |
I remember when this site was always about sales. That was a long time ago.

Yes but outstanding games like COD/AC vita will fast change things... Stable sales of 5k for vita in japan must be then possible.

The initial sales reaction to ACL was not great (biggest increase %wise but not sales-wise), and the early reviews for COD Vita seems to present a dim picture.
Perhaps Persona 4:Golden has a chance? But I doubt it somehow...

Don't bring that up; you're making me all nostalgic.
Those were the days alright...perhaps the WiiU will present some excitement but I just don't know.

P4G seems to be a great game, but it's too niche. I don't think it will improve things too much.

But at least it is a quality title; and one which has a fair few pre-orders on the (admittadly flawed) pre-order chart.
The Vita needs the big-budget AAA games, but it also needs the smaller games like Persona in order to attract even a few more consumers to the system. And a steady stream of these games would likely solve most of Vita's problems.
The problem Sony has is that with those sales, no mentally sane developer would invest on a Vita AAA exclusive game. This time they don't have a twin console that could make it viable in the long term.

I knew that, it was veiled sarcasm on my part
