I enjoyed it.

An average game. Really didn't like the gameplay but the motion control parts where quite fun. Didn't care much about the story and the dialogue mostly made me cringe. I have only played the first God of War but Heavenly Sword doesn't come anywhere close to that game.

You should get Bayonetta if you haven't already. It should be quite cheap.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

I'd recommend it, especially if you can pick it up cheap. It was one of my favourite games on PS3 back in the day. The campaign is very short, but the world looks stunning (at least it does from what I remember... it's been a few years now), and Kai is a really fun character.

It was a great launch title and still is one of the best action adventure games available on any console. The only issue with the game was the limited gameplay, but luckily they let you switch between a handful of weapons, so that kind of remedied it.

I liked it, never managed to defeat the end boss though.
Great character design and some beautiful level design. Ninja theory just needs to work a bit on the gameplay part and their next game could be pure gold. It's definitely worth playing, just as Enslaved. I love the art design in both. I wouldn't mind a sequel, more of the adventures of Nariko and Kai please after DMC reboot.

Sony owns it. Heavenly Sword could be the next hit with Sony Santamonica behind it.

I'd say its OK. I would give it somewhere around a 6.0/10. It has a decent story from what I remember, limited replayability, and average combat. Its not bad....there are just much better comparable options out there (God of War, Castlevania).

You can pick it up cheap now so it's worth it at the price it's probably being sold for.

The combat is solid enough although nothing special, the story is entertaining and the presentation is top notch (especially the animation, on par with Uncharted). It still looks very impressive and the final battle (and the way the game starts actually) is pretty epic. It keeps things interesting with some alternate character and sixaxis segments so you don't get bored of endless combat.

It's a bit short but like I said, worth it for cheap. At full price, probably not.

If God of War III is a 10/10 and the best game in the genre of all time then Heavenly Sword is a 4/10. (Retarded cousin is an adequate description).

Heavenly Sword had a crap story, choppy framerate, terrible combat, irritating ost, weird characters, terrible gameplay (no jumping made it feel like shit) and it's incredibly repetitive save for the couple of parts you play as Kai. Not to mention it's only about 5-6 hours long which is pretty much exactly half of God of War III which is 10-12 hours.

If you want the absolute best alternative to God of War whilst you wait for God of War: Ascension, you MUST play Castlevania: Lords of Shadow! That game is fucking fantastic! (9.5/10) If you've  aleady played that then you could give Dante's Inferno a go which is ok (6.5/10).

Bro, add me and lets play together during the Ascension beta. Im so fucking stoked for it :D. Im not sure what god I want to give my allegiance to x_X

To everyone else:
THANKS a lot for your thoughts. I actually redownloaded the demo and gave it a go. Initial impression was holy fuck that screen tearing and.. frames xD, well.. basically the 2007 / early ps3 game effect xD. But after the first encounter, I really had fun. Looking forward of playing the full game :)
