IM BACK! xD

So as you recall.. last night, I made a Jak Collection - Is it good thread and well, I ended up buying the game for 25€ and I am just waiting to get it (probably arrives by Monday).

Now.. after watching that All Stars intro over and over: Nariko caught my eye and I have played the demo agees back. Always wanted the game but I havent found it around on the regular stores I go to. So I just bought it for 20€ as a PS3 Essientals or whatever and now I am curious:

Just how good is that game? I mean, I don't expect God of War quality at all XD but is it like GoW's decent - pretty hot - cousin? Or are we talking retarded brother? LET ME KNOW!

YES!!!

Edit to include the edit tag:

I have warm memories abouh HS. I liked that game, I liked Nariko and her sister, I liked the villains, the fighting, the shooting and motion controll projectile ... controll, the hoards of enemies, the final battle.

God of War is Heavenly Swords retarded older cusin if you ask me.

It's an ok game. One of the best from the early days. But it's not like there was much to compete with furing the first or so year.

I played the game about 2 years after its release and thought it wasn't all that great, to be honest. In fact, after this game, people started to praise Ninja Theory for reason I still don't understand. Not even Enslaved did it for me. And now, I'm kinda nervous about DMC. Although this one, I must admit, looks really good so far.

Anyways... Heavenly Sword should give you a week-end of fun. Don't expect much more from it. And no, it doesn't even come close to being comparable to God of War 3.

I agree with Hynad..it's an ok game with so much more potential. I hope sony brings it back and gives the IP to Sony Santa Monica. They will know exactly what to do

I...^this.

I loved every bit of HS. Specially the presentaion department.

And the final battle is one of the few ones i would call epic!

If you played (and liked) Enslaved then you will probably like this one.

I'd say good, not great. There are some interesting ideas and mechanics, but also some missed opportunities. Nariko's sister really steals the show.

I thought it was a solid game, well worth playing. It's really a hack and slash mixed with some big ticket moments, and entertaining different styles of game-play. The characters are interesting and the world is beautiful.

Some of the sequences with the six-axis were a blast. Guiding arrows into enemy crotches and eye sockets as they charge across a bridge at you is really more fun then it should be. The sequence with the cannon is also amazing and the final boss fight.

Really the only major drawback of the game was it's incredibly short length, which considering you can pick it up for so cheap now probably isn't as big of an issue anymore.

I think it's a good game. Good characters that I really wish would return. Nariko is awesome. It's short, though, and obviously from early in this generation. Had it come later in the generation, I think it could have been really, really top grade.

I hope the IP continues. If the new DMC is good and shows Ninja Theory has improved, I'd even like to see them work on it.

I presume people praised Ninja Theory for the very likeable heroin, the autstanding villain and the whole acting in general. The not too absurd storry filled with more memorable character development for even Roach only, than the whole GOW trilogy has for Kratos(I did not play the mobile games). The fighting mechanics was different and possibly could have been better (the final battle is still one of the most again, memorable ones I fought).

I played GoW3 not too long ago. Can't really remember how it ended. I played HS some years ago, still remember it vivdly.

So I guess what Ninja Theory can do is make a memorable game.

Biased? Yes. Passionate? Maibe. Had this game not been released in the middle of The PS3 Hate Storm, it would have been regarded as one of the best by the majority of PS3 gamers, not just the ... biased.
