True, but the PS3's and 360's first party games fall far short of the Wii's, so  it kinda balances out.

no they dont, well 360's first party games might, but wii exclusives fall short of those of the ps3's

First party games and exclusive games are not the same thing. If we're talking about fantastic exclusives (90%+ on GameRankings and/or Metacritic and 9.0+ Game Spot user score), all three consoles are equal:

Wii

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Skyward Sword
Xenoblade Chronicles
Metroid Prime 3

PS3

LittleBigPlanet
LittleBigPlanet 2
Metal Gear Solid 4
God of War 3
Uncharted 2
Uncharted 3

Xbox 360
Gears of War
Gears of War 2
Gears of War 3
Mass Effect
Mass Effect 2
Forza Motorsport 3

Go ahead and dispute me. :)

mass effect 2 isnt exclusive, mass effect 1 will lose its exclusivity when they release the mass effect triology soon. disputed ;)

Wait a second, both Mass Effect 1 + 2 are coming out for PS3. Okay, that will scratch two off Xbox 360's list.

Well, Mass Effect 2 was released on PS3 almost two years ago. But why don't you include PC?

I really enjoyed those from your list:
Disney Epic Mickey
The Last Story
Little King's Story
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Ōkami
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure

plus (not on your list):
Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love
The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces
World of Goo

but the Wii was first and foremost an excellent 1st party console, so I don't think we need to discuss the quality of its 3rd party support anymore.

In case the situation changes with Wii U - i.e. it will get very good 3rd party support in addition to the excellent 1st party support - it will be my only console next gen.

Hmm, I think the problem is that this list does not contain some of these Games (Although I do not like them all):

Final Fantasy XIII - Sucks
Final Fantasy XIII-2 - Sucks
Resident Evil 5 - Sucks
Resident Evil 6 - Sucks
Devil May Cry 4 - Sucks
Metal Gear Solid 4 - Great
Assassin's Creed - Sucks
GTA 4 - Great
Red Dead Redemption - Better on 360
Dead Space - Sucks
Mass Effect - Better on 360
Elder Scrolls - Both better on 360
Dragon Age - Sucks
Batman - Both are great
Bioshock - Better on 360
Borderlands - Sucks
Demon's Souls - Sucks

Honestly, the Wii's 3rd Party is very weak compared to the PS3 and the X360. It is partly a fault of Nintendo, since most of the Games just couldn't be ported to the Wii due to technical limitation and due to Nintendos Control scheme. And since the Wii could not transform the install base into proper sales figures for most developpers the Wii never saw a good support. Some Games even got a version for PS3/360 and one for Wii/PS2/PSP Version... Somehow the Wii felt like its own Generation and it is very telling that games like Just Dance or Carnival games, etc are among the Games with the highest Sales on the Wii.

I really wonder how the Wii U will do. Will the Wii Crowd upgrade to the Wii U or will they have lost interest in gaming... This will be a very interesting christmas season.

Lets not drag the Wii down now.

Sure, Wii may have only one excellent third party game but with the exception of the two great Batman games and GTA 4, every single fantastic non-exclusive PS3 game is better on Xbox 360.

AC3, Just Cause2, RDR, SFxTekken, Batman AA, Goldeneye Reloaded, etc. all say hi

To me a fantastic game has to have a 90%+ review score average and 9.0+ user score average. All of those games except Red Dead Redemption, which is better on Xbox 360, and Arkham Asylum, which I actually mentioned when I said "with the exception of the two great Batman games," fall short.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

I'd dispute that.

The only PS3 first party game I'd rank alongside the likes of Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Zelda Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, Metroid Prime 3, Xenoblade, and Donkey Kong Country Returns is Uncharted 2.

Not that Infamous 1 & 2, Uncharted 1 & 3, etc aren't good, but the games above are in a league all their own in my opinion. (Plus a few multiplats like Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, and Bioshock)

I like the way you look at things DieApplaDie =) You're a "glass-half-full" kinda guy - good for you!!

If I didn't have my PC this gen would have sucked hard for me. It's the only way for me to play games like Batman and Darksiders - both games sorely missed in Wii's library... Luckily the sequels are both coming to Wii U =D

The thing is, I don't wanna get TWO consoles to be able to play 3rd party games that exists on other platforms - and I think that's been Wii's problem from the start. It either didn't get the same games as PS360, and if it did get it, it was severely gimped.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

i'd dispute that, donkey kong is no way in the same league as littlebig planet. i'd pick any uncharted game over zelda any day. killzone is light years ahead of metriod in terms of quality and production value's. and god of war is on a league of its own

For me, DKCR's genius level design and superior physics put it well above LBP. Metroid likewise has an intelligence and atmosphere the Killzone games can't match.

Uncharted 1 and 3 were good, but 3 was too scripted and 1 just lacked that spark that separate the great games from the good ones. God of War 1 & 2 were great on PS2, but 3 just felt like more of the same.

you know killzone has one of the best AI's in video games right? how is it lack of intelligence? also did you not see the helgan atmosphere?

"God of War 1 & 2 were great on PS2, but 3 just felt like more of the same."

kinda funny saying that when you preffer nintendo games obviously

Even though they were rare, the great ones were just magic. I had some awesome times with some of those.

I just noticed, WHERE'S DE BLOB?!?!?! >:O
