i dont see it that way Curl
it has bad multiplats compared to the HD twins, but compared to the PS2/GC it has the best multiplats, that is something, i still play many PS2/GC games on a weekly basis, and i think they are high quality games, sames as the Wii games

Its all about the grafix isnt it?
Shame on us

It's not about a comparison of the multiplat graphics, it's about all the HD multiplats that never made it on the Wii at all.  That's the part that kills it for third party support compared to the other two.  Most of the biggest 3rd party games never even released for it, so I find it difficult to think that it has a fantastic 3rd party lineup, because if that's fantastic I don't even think words can describe the third party lineup for the HD consoles.

¿Good job on your thread?  I forgot about Epic Mickey in the other thread.  Never played it but I'll try to pick it up sometime.

Honestly there are a couple of them that I really liked (No More Heroes for example) but so few of them are worth playing.

Anyway I didn't buy a Wii for 3rd party titles and I won't buy a Wii U for 3rd party titles either.

That's why I've never been disappointed by the Wii 3rd party library. Coming from the N64 and then the Gamecube I wasn't expecting things to change and I was right.

I have to say that this is a very small library of good 3rd party games for a console.

Have you even played all of those? I assure you that you wouldn't even be posting half of them if you did. I broke out into a cold sweat as soon as I saw Castlevania Judgment. Good soundtrack though.

Contrary to the harsh reviews, I really enjoyed it. The camera can be annoying but for me the core gameplay, world, story, characters and visuals more than made up for it.

Fantastic? For a market leader (and eventual winner)? No, not in my humble opinion. Its good, or at the very least decent but nowhere near fantastic. There is a vast amount of 3rd party games it never got and many of those it did get were inferior versions or ports of older games.
All in all, besides Nintendo's own efforts, the Wii will be remembered as a market leader with a surprisingly poor games library in terms of quality 3rd party support, and not just by "gaming snobs".

I'm not going to go into the whole "whose fault is it that the Wii has/had weak proper 3rd party support?" debate again but there is no denying the fact that it does have and has had weak proper 3rd party support (the amount of released titles really doesn't matter, the PS2 also had a boatload of shovelware, all market leaders do). This is one of the main reasons behind the historical sales decline it has seen.

Doesn't help that Nintendo barely supported it the past year or so.  I suppose you can say they shifted focus to the Wii U.  Just need Just Dance 5 to release for the Wii...
