Awesome idea PDF! But uh, can it wait until the PS3 drops in price to where my friends will consider it? A lot of my friends even find the Wii too expensive to get yet.

hail Sony! i converted two friends to buy a PS3 but most of my friends are Sony haters\ M$ lovers so its a little harder, but i try because 4 of my friends had RRoD on them

Yeah, I'm a PS2 owner that'll be upgrading to a PS3 this year, probably around the time that Haze comes out, if I have enough money by then.

 because more people that buy the PS3 = more units sold/ larger userbase = game devs will put more resources into the PS3 = better multilplatform games for us/ more exclusives (maybe on this one) = more people tha buy the PS3 = more sales/ larger userbase etc etc. 

 Anywho, I've already convinced a friend who was on the verge of getting a 360 to go with a PS3. All I had to do was make him play Resistance. 

I thought this thread was going to be an article on a Sony press conference :( Oh well, Sony doesn't have any franchises I like, but Square-Enix does.

Actually I found out that 360 owners are not that hard to convert (except Xbox fanboys). I already converted 5 and the 6th will buy a PS3 today.

I normally do full day sessions of PS3 gaming at my place. I invite lots of friends and co-workers (most of them 360 owners) and they love it. It's pretty easy to convince people to buy a PS3 when you let them play the games (something retail stores fail to do properly, all retail stores close to me still have Motorstorm).

I also found out Warhawk has the most impact on their decision to buy a PS3 (especially Halo fans love Warhawk). From 5 of my friends that bought a PS3 in the past few months 3 did it because of Warhawk (of course Ratchet and Uncharted helped).

As a side note, most of my co-workers that own a Wii or a 360 are buying a PS3 this year.

Since they're buying more than one current-gen console (and in some cases more than one HD console), I think we can safely say that your co-workers are not representative of the market. Do you work at a technology company?

HAhahahaha Great thread. And it is true to what ssj12 said. Almost all 360 will end up on PC. A lot of PS3 game will not :D Too bad I dont have a PS3,, :(

Just show people the trailer for FF XIII and they should be convinced, but don't mention that it's not coming out for ages
