So let's say for some mysterious reason you have been restricted to a single video game franchise for the rest of your life.

Whichever one you pick, you will be able to play all future installments of that franchise, but no past installments, and no games from any other franchise.

So this is based more on the future prospects of the franchise, and less on which extant franchise games you'd like to play.

What do you pick? Which franchise are you most confident in? Which do you think will provide you the most entertaiment going forward?

Mine would be The Legend of Zelda. I'd probably have to wait a few years between installments, but to me Zelda has the perfect formula. I could play it ad infinitum.

Ratchet.  Or LittleBigPlanet.   I don't know if it counts as its own franchise, but 3D Mario as well, perhaps.

I would've said WipEout, but alas :'(

The Legend of Zelda. Don't even need to think about it. For me, Zelda pretty much has everything I want from a good game. I could do an eternity on that franchise alone. You're pretty much guaranteed you will always have a good game with each installment, and it has enough content between them to replay previous entries when waiting for the next one.

Easiest question ever.

Halo. Multiplayer fun, amazing singleplayer and the ability to build my own levels. Done.

It has to be popular enough to last for a long time and have many entries, while appealing to my tastes. It can't be in decline either, to make sure it remains a quality series.

MGS or GTA. I like MGS better but GTA has better chances of having many installments in the future.

I'll go with MGS. I prefer two good MGS than eight good GTA.

I would say fallout or GTA or Yakuza.

The legend of zelda, definetly.

Pokemon, without a doubt.

Quite possibly Civilization. It just never gets boring and there's always something new going on. It's never exactly the same. Well, of course I'm assuming the series isn't dying right now which it doesn't seem to be... But the series does get new games pretty slowly.
